Currently I have a dedicated Ubuntu Server just running Docker. I’d like to replace the OS on my custom server to run Proxmox instead, and then run a Ubuntu Server VM inside that to run Docker.

As a result, I’d like to create a bootable recovery ISO of my Ubuntu Server which I can save on a separate computer to allow me to overwrite everything on the server’s main storage to install Proxmox, then use the saved ISO file to basically re-run the OS as a VM inside Proxmox as if nothing changed.

Can anyone help/guide me to links that could help? Or if this whole process is even possible?
