I have an old Lenevo Netbook (S10-3) lying at my home which is not used. It’s incredibly slow as well compared to the machines I have right now. I wish to port it to a fully linux/ dual boot machine so that I can use the Ubuntu partition for some school assignments or to keep running as a server as I guess the Ubuntu versions would be much more upgradeable than the Windows 7 Starter it came with.

Any tips on how should I go about doing the same? Like finding the suitable linux version/flavour and actually doing that on an old machine. This is the laptop and the only modification done is a RAM increase
