Earlier in the week the temp was reported as about 34/35/36 degrees. A workmate said that when he got in his car at 2 pm to leave work it was registering as 41 degrees. This is next to the Logan motorway very close to the Logan Hospital. Meadowbrook. Now THAT is bloody hot. I’ve lived in Australia for thirty years and I swear this is the hottest spell I have ever encountered. I’ve even lived in Cairns for 13 months and I’m sure it was never this hot. I mean I’m sure I’ll be complaining of the cold mornings in a few months but right now one or two of those would be welcome.

Haha. Well at least the cold is somewhat brief. Also we have to admit the days are usually quite blissful. At least your energy isn’t zapped by the excessive heat like the middle of summer.
Having said all that, the current 26 degrees at 11 am is rather decent, so I’m off to dig out my sweet potatoes while it’s not too ugly.

If you park a dark coloured car in the sun and read the dash as soon as you turn the key on, you can get some pretty sweet numbers for a Facebook post.
