Why do bad guy use the ropes whilst pinnign their opponents? Not only is it against the rules, in most every case (maybe every case?) it acutally would give you less leverage and make it easier for the good guy to kick out.
Hence you’re question “Why do bad guys…” :P They do it because bad guys cheat and a big visible cheat everyone can see works good.
Bad guys are also stupid, and wrestling logic does not hold to normal physics. Look at the irish whip afterall lmao.
The idea is the heel is putting more of their bodyweight on their opponent than they would by having their lower body on the mat.
Pro wrestling logic.
