I wonder what the system is called where humans benefit from labor instead of industry like this person is suggesting. Guess we’ll never know

Fucking Bluesky, man. It’s like a liberal resonance cascade, it just keeps feeding into itself and getting more stupid.

“we’re not living in troo capitalism, we’re living in something that looks like capitalism, but totally isn’t, and that’s better than socialism because…reasons”

It’s not normal capitalism, instead it’s a system where businesses and the rich are prioritized over everything else, totally unlike what happens under capitalism! 🙄

I’m convinced that a good portion of communist-fearing people in the west, if they lived under a socialist state, would be like, “Wait, this is what you meant by communism? This is great!” And then you’d get to be like, “This is just the beginning. We’re not even done yet.” But they’ve had things so muddied by decades of red scare and anti-communist propaganda combined with “the west is the bastion of democracy and civility” nonsense, they’re convinced the proven solution can’t possibly work. “Just one more election controlled by the capitalists, we’ll reform it this time…”

In fact, the people from former socialist countries who complain about everything never mention the things that happened during socialism but the things that happened in capitalism that followed the fall of socialism (The shock doctrine).
