I read the FAQ and I think my question is okay but please remove/roast me if I’ve been illiterate.
Mom is flying United from Raleigh to San Francisco.
I accompanied my Mom to the airport this morning and when she offered her Real ID, the agent glanced at it and just said “Passport.”
My mother said “I’m not traveling internationally.”
The agent again only looked at her and said “Passport.”
Thankfully my Mom had her passport with her so she was able to provide but that got me thinking - is this something that happens now? We didn’t want to hold up the line so I didn’t ask.
I was under the impression you didn’t even need a Real ID, to travel domestically within the United States until May.
