I need an advice. I love looking at old jdm cars and can’t help myself but want to buy one. I’ve seen some that would be cheap enough for me to afford. Perhaps even as like a ‘project car’. The problem being is that I’m 18 and strongly lack knowledge on cars and am not that familiar with the car culture in my country. I also don’t have a steady income to be repairing it. My family is urging me to buy a car that’s not older than 5 years and works smoothly without a need to pay for expensive repairs…
I would like a jdm car as my first car, but it might be a big inconvenience to me financially. I’m not sure if I should listen to my family or not. What should I do?
