I read this as “Throw a bone just big enough to calm down the MAGA dumb-dumbs.”

I don’t think he realizes the pickle he’s in.

So by his own words, Trump is stupid and letting the democrats fool him? Cause if the Epstein thing is a hoax, and he’s asking for more disclosure, well that makes no sense. Is trump now going to call himself dumb and say he doesn’t need his own support?

No, you’ve missed it. We’ve moved on from “That never happened” to “It wasn’t actually a big deal” already.

He’s going to have documents released with entire pages blacked out and nothing of value still visible so his base, who are dying for a way out of this, can say he’s exonerated and move on without holding him accountable…again.

    I got $5 on it.

Hot take I guess, but this is exactly why it’s NOT a cult. If it was a cult, his followers would be falling in line and he wouldn’t be scrambling for details to satisfy them with. That’s the one way this is not a cult. He tends to give in to the demands of his followers, not the other way around. This particular news story is really pushing the cult tests to the limit.

Trump has capitalized on the MAGA movement and maybe given it its name. But he didn’t create the movement and the underlying social end economical problems in the US that are fueling the movement are not going away. Even though the “answers” thought by the movement are often misguided.

“I totally wasn’t in a cult when I voted for a pedophile! It wasn’t a cult at all. See?”

Okay great. So, if you’re not in a cult, then why DID you think a known associate of Epstein and presumed pedophile given the way he talks about his own child, was fit to occupy one of the most powerful offices on the planet?

If you weren’t brainwashed and in a cult, then why did you vote for the pedo?

It’s a cult because he’s going to release “something” that doesn’t exonerate him but his cult will just say it does and move on.

… you think cult leaders have control over their cult? Once you indoctrinate people, you don’t really have much control anymore. Yeah, they’ll do whatever you say, but only if it matches doctrine. And heaven help you if they turn on you.

It’s like riding a recently saddle broken horse for the first time. Yeah, you did all that labor so that you could control them, but the reality is that you’re the one riding them and they’re going to do whatever they want now that you’re up there.
