Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered an olive branch to his US counterpart Donald Trump, describing their fiery Oval Office meeting last week as “regrettable”.
Oh man. I really hate to see where this is headed…
Ukraine has been gutted by the war and exists as little more than a NATO client-state. Zelenskyy doesn’t have any kind of choice, Trump knows it, and so they’ll capitulate to western capitalists because they think its preferable to capitulating to Russian capitalists.
I think it’s vastly different than you’re selling it. He’s clearly playing anything he can to survive
But if Europe started producing their own shit, that’s that. America will not hold that business as there will be no buyers and we’ll see a repeat of the world wars, weapon manufacturing pops up and within a decade those that embraced it and fill the necessary void will dominate the market. America managed to spin that play for a century and they’re selling that position away over the fool that is Trump
They’d need to re-industrialize first. Only France and maybe Germany have the capacity or the labor expertise, and they’d both need African/Eastern Europe raw materials.
And this is one of those kinds of projects that take serious organized long term commitments. Would be a significant change from how Europeans have governed over the last two decades.
I disagree. Maybe some weapon systems especially more advanced ones ones but it won’t be that difficult, they’ve done it before
