I bought this to use with GPUs. It’s the perfect chassis as there are no drives to get in the way of cooling the GPUs. It comes wtih a 64gb boot drive which means you can use an adpated M.2 NVME in the low profile riser as your primary disk.
The front panel is printed with SC8100 but the bios says SC9000. Ultimately its an R730 that was originally made by Dell as the main controller for the Compellent storage series. Only differnece I can see is that IDRAC is missing a couple things like no SMTP or Active Directory authentication. Nothing that affected my home lab usage.
