I love printing fun stuff. But also, every time something around here breaks, my first thought is, can I print that part for almost free?

We have a Kenmore Pro gas stove top. It came with the house. The stove is great. The knobs absolutely suck. They have a post that fits over the gas valve and it’s made out of, I don’t know, paper maché? They all broke. The generic knobs don’t fit, and guess what? The replacements with the shitty posts? $85 EACH!! Fuck that. We held them together with electrical tape until it occurred to me to see if anyone else in the 3d printing world had solved this problem for me.

Yep. Of course. I printed 4 new knobs that work perfectly and saved me $340.00. There is nothing interesting about this print, but I am very happy about it.

What is your best practical print? Something not exciting or interesting but that saved you a ton of money or just improved your life with its functionality?
