Listen, I’m not a Rob fan by any stretch, but if Sophie was using Bumble. It’s very clear when you select Bumble Dating or Bumble Friends. I haven’t looked through the thousands of comments on post and live to see if this has been mentioned before but I just wanted to add.

See, I disagree! Remember Fernanda and Jonathan, how she cried continuously over him having to work and her be alone? Hell, we’ve seen it many times, most recently with Mercy on 90DayUK, and Jasmine is 100% that type of person. If Gino has started leaving for work every day, I guarantee you Jasmine would have been upset and lonely very quickly. We’ll won’t know now, but in any case, Gino is not living paycheck to paycheck, he could comfortably retire now, he just wanted to work longer and save more. He’s not risking them being homeless or anything quitting the job, but what Jasmine did, especially considering the fact that the money was specifically sent for a wedding dress AND that Gino had SPECIFICALLY said no to butt implants when they discussed it, is much worse to me. I think he genuinely had Jasmine in mind when he took the leave though, he knows how she is.
He should have discussed it with her first. Quitting a job is a huge financial decision
Let’s look at Rob and Sophie subjectively for a second.
Rob is broke and jobless with an abrasive personality. She could get thousands of guys in LA who would be willing to take on Rob’s role but with financial security, a better personality and a bathroom.
She already lives in a first world country of England, she is already wealthy as she claims, so what is it she is after then? Fame? Reality show career? Something isn’t adding up.

I think she grew up with some level of “new” money and her living in different countries, combined with new money help or gifts when she was younger, gives him this chip on his shoulder that he’s also using against her. I think the producers are pushing this angle because otherwise, they have nothing to argue about other than he’s an asshole.

Agreed, I don’t believe she’s ever been that rich unless it’s in comparison with Rob. I do believe she’s estranged from her family and couldn’t think of what to do other than go try it out with The Knob.
I really wish people would stop acting like US citizenship is some kind of prize for people coming from other first world countries. We’re a third world country wearing a Gucci belt, I’d much rather live in the UK than here, frankly, and I’m solidly middle class. They showed Sophie in her very nice apartment in the UK and she seems to do just fine as an “influencer” so I doubt her goal is to get her greencard so she can claw her way out of poverty in her home country. I think she just wants to become famous (D list 90 day famous would suffice) so she’s using Rob for the show. I really HOPE that’s the case, because there’s no other objective reason why anyone would date that douche.

Rob is mentally abusive. A gaslighter, a cheater and just bleh. Gino had no real reason to quit his job, idk why he did all that. Especially knowing Jasmine is so financially needy. Nikki is just wrong, you can’t get into a serious relationship and hold back that you’re trans. Gino makes zero sense. He could have taken a vacation or a leave of absence. There was no reason to quit his job.
He said on the first episode he was taking an extended leave so I have no idea why he’s saying he quit two episodes later.

He took a Leave of Absence for 1 year. He explained that on the first episode but now he’s acting like he quit? His job will be there in 1 year or maybe sooner if he chooses to end the Leave early.

I feel like he did this to save face and knows he has savings that can carry him for some time. Would you want to report into hours of daily teams calls knowing everyone saw your wife talk about your banana on a popular tv show? I also think he calculated how much they get per ep and this is a better yield and doesn’t have to worry about filming issues if he’s working- no proof of any of this but just assumption as I work adjacent in the engineering space and know that this would NOT go over well in that type of work environment

I try not to stereotype but when Jasmine came out in the nurse’s outfit, Gino sounded like a gay man hyping up his bestie while she’s lingerie shopping. Like, that would have turned me off immediately 😭
