Is it even legal to rent a place without a bathroom in LA? I know that in NYC you can’t call a room a bedroom if there are no windows… so not sure what the rules are in California.

I don’t think either of these people know who they are, and I think it has to do with being biracial. I could never understand that so that’s where my commentary ends on that. I think they both need to figure out who they are and where they want to be, and I’m not sure it looks the same for both of them.

For a 33 your old man or child that place is not livable for him, his dog or a fiancé. Not to have a bathroom in a house or an apartment is Nasty He seems like he doesn’t wanna spend his money or get another job but he did insinuate that she could pay and ask her parents. Her family probably doesn’t like him and they’re not gonna give her a scent when she’s with this lowlife and I don’t blame them. And to add, he has no respect in the way he speaks to her. Is that bathroom a communal bathroom? Is the patio also? If so, I wonder how many people use it and how dangerous it must be to use it at night time. I used to live in California & I’ve not heard of this unless it’s a dorm room situation or older hotels.
My old building had shared units because it was close to UCLA and in a very expensive building/area. However, the shared units are 3 bedrooms that share a kitchen/common space, 2 of the bedrooms share a bathroom, and the other has its own. I stayed there for a few months in one of the master bedrooms with its own bath and it wasn’t cheap.
However, I’ve never seen anything like Rob’s setup.
