Rob doesn’t seem to like Sophie right? His digs about bringing her down to earth, his comment of seemingly punishing her by living in that studio unless she asks family for money, him arguing with everything she says and always having to be right, and him having 0 tolerance for any conversation that matters to her. Either he just doesn’t like her, or there is one of those weird manosphere mindsets about her being young and needing to be directed.
Also though their relationship highlights a problem I’ve had with the 90DF universe for a while. Producers and edits heavily focus on the problems a couple has, and we have very few moments (if any) of seeing the good in any of these couples relationships which makes it impossible to root for almost anyone.

My personal opinion was that Rob was into Sophie when he bought into her rich girl persona that she uses on the internet. He was hoping for a sugar momma to get him into a place with indoor plumbing. I don’t really believe she’s wealthy, but if she is and really won’t ask for financial help, either way, Rob isn’t moving up in the world and he openly resents Sophie for it.
Yeah, I’m not convinced she has as much money as they’re making it out to be.
As a woman who likes nice things, their whole dynamic struck a nerve. Men will see you spoiling yourself and want to waste your time only to degrade you to distract from the fact they can’t provide the same for you that you’re providing. He knows what the deal is with her, why is he disturbing her peace and acting like she’s entitled for wanting the minimum? All I know is when you try to communicate your feelings in a calm manner and someone gets angry and defensive in return usually means they are guilty. When he asked her when she was going to “get over” his cheating…time to leave. He is still doing it and he won’t stop.
