In my early 20s i had speakers from martin Logan Paradigm Klipsch B&W Magnepan etc and some nice electronics Rotel Raven Audio B&K PS Audio. I bought a pair of planar headphones Fostex T50-rp and i sold all my gear. Just plugged straight into my PC they blew away any speaker i ever heard. Instead of worrying about SACD sampling rates and “HD Audio” i just enjoyed the music and couldn’t be happier. All for $150.
