I’m 22 and recently attempted to put myself out there in the dating world. I’ve noticed a lot of people around my age have poly and partnered or that they’re in an open relationship in their dating profiles. Polyamory isn’t exactly for me so I’m curious as to why it seems to be so popular

Edit: Hey uuhh don’t be rude in the comments. I was coming at this from a genuinely curious angle as I’ve come across quite a few poly people online and irl. While I don’t understand the desire to be non-monogamous I wasn’t coming at this from a hateful place. Thanks everyone who answered genuinely!
