So I have an LG CX and a Sony hw40es projector in my setup. I use the TV not most things; gaming, streaming, etc… But occasionally I like to watch blu-rays on a bigger screen, so I have a 110” motorized screen I can drop down when I want to use the pj.
I have them both hooked up to individual outputs on my Yamaha CX-a5200 processor.
The problem I’m running into is the receiver likes to turn the TV on even if I am watching movies on the PJ. So the tv will just be on behind the screen, which I would rather it not do.
If I grab the tv remote and turn it off, it also turns off my receiver and Blu-ray player. Then if I turn them back on, they just turn the tv back on.
I could just disable the HDMI control altogether, but I DO want it all to turn off and on together when I am using the TV, just not the TV when I am using the projector.
I have a Harmony remote and I created an activity that just turned on the PJ, receiver, and Blu-ray player, but when I run it, the receiver still turns on the TV.
Anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to get the correct behavior?
