I have all my gear purchased and now looking for the best configuration. I’ll be completely swapping out existing Onkyo TX-NR686 7.x receiver, Boston CS26 6.5" booshelf fronts, CS 225C center, 4x CS23 3.5" surrounds, and 2 CS Sub 10s.
My primary question is the best set up for adding the 6 Revel M8 speakers. Front & rear height and 2 overhead which I think would be considered 11.x.2? Or use all 6 overhead for 7.x.6? These are not ‘Atmos’ speakers but they were cheap (discontinued new old stock; 3 pair cost me $280 total which hopefully was as steal if I can use them in this setup).
My 16 channel Arcam AV40 surround processor/preamp has Dirac Live with DLBC multi-sub so I’ll be using 1 sub channel along with channels 14, 15, and 16 for 4 subs total, leaving me with channels 1-13 for speakers.
