Hi there.

I have fallen in love with the Ultra 1/2.

I do not exercise, mountain climbing, trailing or whatever, so what should I use it for?

The more I think about it, the more I am thinking it could be a waste of money. SO, you who have a watch, what do you use it for, if you are not exercising etc. like me. Are there some hidden useful things I do not know about, that could perhaps persuade me to get one or not?

Also, if I am persuaded to buy one, which model should I choose? 1 or 2?

Thx in advance.

Really, the only reasons to get an Ultra if you’re not into athletic or adventurous activities are:

    1. That sweet, sweet battery life.

    2. You’re worried you’ll give your Watch a lot of abuse regardless.

As far as #2 goes, you can address that by getting a stainless steel version of the S9 (which also uses sapphire glass). Hell, I have the base aluminum S6, and simply putting a soft case on it has done a lot for protection.

Twice the battery life and a bigger brighter screen. Incredibly accurate dual band GPS. Better watch faces. 🤌🏼

I bought the AWU1 because I like the look of G Shock watches. Considering these watches last a few years, I think it’s a good investment. Go for the 2 as the chip spec bump is worth it.

I was in ± same situation as yours, I was contemplating buying it just for the looks, as it simply looks amazing! Decided pulled the trigger in the end.

I don’t work out, or run, I just use it for basic stuff, but I love it. Battery lasts up to 4 days (2 days if I use it without my phone).

Is it worth 800$? Definitely not! But I’m a sucker for nice premium stuff (not too mature in terms of spending either), so what the hell, life’s too short to save $!

But the ultra 2 doesn’t have wrist down notifications, why? I called Apple like… wtf are y’all thinking? When my phone is in my pocket I want my wrist to notify me if I have someone trying to get through to me

I run 6 days a week. My apple watch would be almost out of battery by the end of my hour run. I listen to the radio while running.

I got ultra and the battery life is great. I recently upgraded to ultra 2. I love this watch. When I complete my run now I have more than 70% battery remaining.
