Okay I don’t remember which episode it was but you guys know what I’m talking about.

Remember when she goes to his condo and finds his video games then goes on a rant about how guys over 40 shouldn’t play video games.

Agree or not?

For me, I actually agree with her. I’d make an exception for a “guys night” once every 2-4 weeks, though. If they have children, nothing wrong with playing video games with your children for an hour just to bond with them & have fun with them!!

Disagree. My husband and I both play video games. It’s one of the things we both enjoy and strategize together.

I think her criteria is screwed up. She should worry more about men over 40 who hide their relationship with you, demand you weigh yourself everyday, check in about your hair, makeup and clothing, pull a candy from your hand and toss it across the room, and call you a slut and bitch.

He’s a controlling, misogynistic ass— be worried about that.

A guy minding his own business playing video games is harmless, the above mess is not.

    Signed,

A feminist who plays video games

41(m) I would laugh so hard if a chick said anything about games, and then I would never see her again and keep crushing games.

I don’t think he’s much of a gamer, that was like a PS2 and it was dirty as shit which is why I think it was a fake story.

Video games can often have amazing literary value. They’re an interactive mode of storytelling, and many more pieces of media are catching on (ex HBO and The Last of Us). If you have fun with them, play them. If you don’t, don’t play them. But also acting like every video game is a waste of time and have no value is just ignorant and wrong.

On the contrary to Shekinah, I’d be more inclined to break up with someone who decided it was okay to determine how I spend my free time (so long as it’s not bordering a gaming addiction)

Ima 30F and came to the conclusion that I want to quit gaming so I can get back into crafting and other hobbies so my future kids won’t be screen addicted, my husband still games. We’ve talked about it to reach a compromise, and that’s how you have a functional relationship.

There’s nothing wrong with gaming in teenage and adulthood years. That’s just their personal preference to spend time, and if it becomes an excuse to not do X, then it’s a self-control problem.

Women who zero in on a man gaming to immediately judge obviously have control issues and insecurity issues because it’s like some phantom pain of being ignored and not having them do what you ask/want at the snap of your fingers.

Video games are the least problematic thing about Sarper. Also, video games are fun. I will crush anyone in MarioKart. Can’t wait for my son to be old enough to play.
