As my arc port stopped working immediately after updating to os 17 was waiting to be solved with new update but no. Maybe the reason is not tv os but the weird thing is my soundbar works only with Bluetooth connection since then. Hdmi doesn’t work, optical connection doesn’t work. Gonna tak my soundbar to service let’s see what they gonna say. Also I have my doubts if my tv has an issue or not. Both my tv and soundbar are samsung btw.

Every time I turn on Apple TV since tvos17, I have to turn off CEC, turn off and on the TV and then turn on CEC and connect the soundbar and then everything works great……until I turn it all on the next day.

if your soundbar has multiple hdmi ports try plugging your apple tv into the first port and use the second port between your tv and soundbar. maybe it’s tv/soundbar in first port and atv in second. try it out :)

My soundbar has 2 hdmi ports. One for hdmi arc out the other one is hdmi. My apple tv has only one hdmi port. Apple tv is connected to tv’s hdmi 2 port (my tv would automatically identify the device as apple tv but not anymore no idea why). From soundbar’s hdmi arc out to tv’s hdmi arc in. Also I have optical cable connected from the soundbar to the tv. This setup used to work without a single issue but now it doesn’t and I have no idea why. Also the display screen on my soundbar not working anymore. I can not get audio from hdmi and optical ports. Only audio I can get is via bluetooth. Rarely (again no idea how) optical cable works but also I don’t know how it works without me doing anything. I am planning to take my soundbar to the service but don’t think it’s gonna be solved. Wrote this long maybe you can tell me sth I don’t know lol ty anyways.

Not exactly the same issue but immediatly after 17 update, passthrough via eARC stopped working. Forced to switch to Dolby, if I set to auto my tv don’t passthrough and I have horrible audio delay….

If ARC isn’t working and optical isn’t working and the display isn’t working, maybe you need a new soundbar.

Have you tried plugging the Apple TV into the soundbar?

I also think I need a new soundbar but bluetooth works just fine? If nothing works properly then I would understand but like this I am a bit confused tbh lol. And it was working totally fine until 2 weeks ago. Also my soundbar’s remote is working with volume which I don’t see it on the screen when I press but it works. Just tried connecting my apple tv via soundbar and still same issues. Only display quality has changed (not sure if its better quality like this?)
