So basically, I’ve been a football fan my whole life but recently I’ve found myself being extremely bored watching football. I struggle to enjoy matches and I found myself basically forcing myself to watch a lot of the games. Seems like football has gotten really slow and tedious idk. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve started watching American football (I live in the USA go figure) and I love it. It’s great. I just want to be able to get back into the sports so can anyone give me tips or help me out?

My advice would be to not force yourself. You like what you like, the end.
Maybe your football phase ended, maybe it’s just a hiatus

People change. There’s nothing wrong with that. It could just be that you need a break from football. There’s nothing wrong with that too.

Take a break mate it’s prefectly normal. And then a specific event (CL hyped matchup, international event etc) will kick it all in again. Or find a new exciting team to follow for a season or so

Watch bundesliga. The football is much more entertaining than the other top 5 leagues. Also, If you dont like then just dont watch, you aren’t going to get a jail sentence for that

It sounds like you don’t really support a team but just enjoy watching football. Honestly, if you just want some crazy emotions etc. find a team that scores and concedes a lot, don’t worry about their league position or anything like that at first, that will come naturally. While watching those games you’ll get to experience multiple emotions throughout the match.

Also, maybe just don’t watch football then. When I stopped enjoying going to the cinema, I just stopped going. Watching isn’t an obligation.

No need to force it. I’m in the same boat. Just looking at highlights lately. I’ve been enjoying tennis (playing and watching) more this year. Honestly it’s healthy to have hiatus once in a while to keep the game in perspective. Here’s an article you might find interesting.
