Danielle is not well-liked (for good reason), and everyone goes on and on about how she promised Yohan a life in America. But do people understand that he’s not a child? If the lie hurt him so much he could have left her. Essentially, the implication is either she lets him use her for a visa or he becomes her financial responsibility for life. Does that even make sense?
I also live in a ‘poor’ country and it is not impossible to make money. What happened to the meat shop? He doesn’t even try. Instead, he chooses to live off her dime, refuse to work, and now ROB her and act like he was justified in doing so.
Flat-out refusing to leave unless he is reimbursed was abusive behaviour and scary to watch, no one deserves that, not even Danielle.
I honestly think if they had gotten married and moved to America he would have gotten a job and sent his money back to the DR like he said he was going to do on LIP. This was always a transactional relationship, which is fine as long as both parties are into it. They’re both clearly over it so why they’re still together is mind-boggling. I couldn’t imagine marrying someone i couldn’t trust enough to share a bank account with, but clearly Yohan will just take all her money if it’s not guarded so I don’t blame her there. I also know there are other reasons why married people have separate bank accounts. I’m sure he’s cheating, and that leaked post Danielle made about him looking for European women to scam is making a lot more sense.
