The odd time I’ll get a web design client that doesn’t supply content or takes too long to review/approve.
Before starting what can I do to ensure they submit content by a certain date. Do I add a kill fee if they go beyond a due date? Do I charge extra if they come back 6 months in to continue the project?
What are some of the rules you put into your contracts that ensure a successful completion in a timely manner?
I’ve been waiting for headshots for a client to finish a website and have been promised April 2022, September 2022, December 2022… May 2023, now it’s end of 2023 and no photos. I’ve offered many times to just launch without but they insist “we’re just working out the schedule and get back to you in a week”.
Personally I don’t care if this site gets completed or not but I want to avoid this in the future and wonder what the best action is to prevent delays.
