    I think the bigger question is, even if the Jets are still in playoff contention in mid-December, would the team even want to clear him to return?

    Like, if their in a spot where they need to win their last 3 games to make the playoffs, is the risk of putting him out there actually even worth it?

      Considering that Woody likely informed Douglas that his performance will be evaluated on next season, instead of this season, I doubt they’re overly inclined to bring Rodgers back unless the Jets are in legitimate contention, which they won’t be.
