Humans have always put out energy to survive.
There’s a difference between survival and living. By and large, we stopped surviving and started living 10,000 years ago with the foundation of the first civilizations. There are things we need to survive, yes, but that’s considered the bare minimum.
Earning, putting out energy, working… These are all distinct concepts that we should take care to not confuse.
