There have been some rude and unintelligent people I’ve interacted with lately on Lemmy and each time is been a fresh account less than a month old. Starting to see a pattern, not sure what to make of it though.
The problem is that people scroll at work and in public. Regardless of what we as individuals enjoy, proper tagging just helps everyone browse responsibly
If I look at your phone that’s a me problem I should have minded my own business. But shiiiiiiittttt if I’m waving it around you should as a society beat my ass, I’m sure you will get right on it just like you took care of the Bluetooth speaker/ speaker Phone people.

They didn’t get upset, and they didn’t ask that it not be posted. They asked that it be tagged.
It’s common courtesy and lets people know what they can and cannot safely click into in more public settings.
It has nothing to do with some puritanical decay of society.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have bosses/HR departments, that turns the me problems into we problems.
