Hi all. Finally going to get my first Apple Watch - most likely the Ultra 2. I’m having a really hard time deciding on which band to get! I’ve been flip flopping between the alpine loop and ocean. And then most reviews I read seem to like the trail loop best!

For those of you who have been living with the Ultra the past year… what’s your thoughts?!? Thanks in advance!

    I just bought an apple leather band (new) from woot in the black color for 57 dollars, it looks pretty nice on the AWU. You can check Reddit for pictures of the combo

    I run 30-50km a week and use the trail loop - it’s super comfy, snug and as-new a year later. My daily is actually the apple link bracelet. It’s expensive but pairs beautifully with the ultra’s matte finish. Divisive look though.

    I have both the trail loop and the alpine loop. Will probably get the ocean band in the near future. I like them all and feel you can’t go wrong with any of them

    I picked up the Ocean Band first but I’ve been using the Alpine loop the most. I have all three from the Ultra offerings. I’d say look wise Ocean is my favorite but comfort it’s the Alpine. Trail is my least favorite but it’s still one of my favorites from all the other bands I have

    Ocean Band for me, I’ve 3 different colours for different occasions, they’re Uber comfortable and really suit the watch.

      Agree it’s the most comfortable, but yours still looks new after a year? It’s a fabric— my velcro has some fraying and the pull tab especially looks worn.

      For increased visibility since this is top comment;

      Go to aliexpress and buy them all for less than one at the Apple store. I did that for my S4. Love the trail loop and ocean. I have 2 colors each. Super cheap. Seemingly sturdy quality.

    AWU 1 user here. I went with the trail loop however, from the beginning it was not comfortable and I think it was the way it added tension to my wrist. Constantly had to adjust throughout the day and it drove me crazy. I do think it is my wrist though not the band itself everyone is different of course.

    Found the Nomad sport band and never looked back! It’s snug just the way I like but without adding extra tension/pressure to make my wrist uncomfortable. Just my experience so far

    Trail loop is working very well for me right now, I have it since the AW ultra came out and no tear out at all and I use it every day in all situations.

    Trail loop is the only one that actually gets tight enough to ensure the heavy watch is not annoying during physical activity like running and mountain biking. I also think they look great, and mine has lasted a year with minimal wear. There is certainly some wear to the Velcro but it’s used multiple times a day.

    Daily wear: definitely Trail Loop. The others are a) harder to put on/take off; b) less comfy. Congrats on a new Ultra!

      The new Nike sport loops are very close to the trail loops btw. Bought one because I noticed to connectors were the same on both ends (not titanium of course). Looks like the same width too as my trail loop.
