Jonathan Gannon, Cardinals (Former Eagles DC)

Shane Steichen, Colts (Former Eagles OC)

DeMeco Ryans, Texans (Former 49ers DC)

They’ve all been good, imo.

The Cards aren’t winning, but they aren’t meant to be, and they look as good as they can. Great for a hire that a lot of us thought was a bad move.

The Colts have been pretty fun this year, obviously not having Richardson is bad but they’re competitive.

The Texans are making the absolute most of their talent, once they get their roster more loaded up they’re looking really good. Stroud has been great.

Thoughts?

They’ve all been impressive. I’d say Steichen has impressed me the most. Gannon and Ryans have their teams playing inspired football against much more talented rosters, but Steichen took a raw, project rookie quarterback and built an offense around his strengths. And then when that QB went down with injury he reinvented a completely different offense that’s still productive. I think he’s showing he’s a very, very good coach in his first year in the big chair

Despite their record. I would give it to Gannon.

I think if they had Kyler to start the year, the Cardinals would be painting a different picture for themselves

Arthur Swith has been impressively bad at getting his three most talented offensive players touches.

All things considered it’s gotta be Ryans. Cardinals have been competitive, but they’re still 1-8, so it’s too early to tell if Gannon is the guy going forward. The Colts have looked decent, but they also had back to back winning season before their abysmal performance last year so it’s not like the team was completely devoid of talent. The Texans have been a dumpster fire for years before this season

It’s Gannon for me. I know their record stinks, but expectations were low for the Cardinals to begin with. Despite that he has them playing some tough football. I would be very excited to see what he could do with more talent on the roster.
