            Yeah, that’s the problem with shibari. It just takes so much time to set up. It looks amazing from an aesthetics standpoint, but it’s a bit more artistic than purely sexy in my eyes. Restraints are the opposite and exactly as you say, it’s about being put at the mercy of someone else and can be done so rather quickly and easily when the mood strikes if you know what you’re doing.

            I hope your intended target was as impressed as we all are 💜 I know it definitely worked on me!

      No joke there are plenty of survival techniques to change a rope into and armband

      In my case, I had a very special encounter so I felt like wearing this as an underwear was a survival situation. I had no sex since a while, was dying inside ;3

          On bondage/shibari? I always was kinky but I stumbled across a dom that gave me the basics (I didn’t slept with him). Afterwards youtube was an endless source of joy but it was hard to find someone to get into it. So I learned some self tie techniques. The feeling of rope on itself is just arousing

            Sounds like a great choice for your date then, you can get yourself worked up while getting ready and travelling there, he gets the amazing visual but still easy access, and something to hold onto so he can go even harder on you.

      I guess you … could do that… but generally, this is shibari, a Japanese form of rope based bondage.

      It can get a lot more intense, or intricate, than this though.

      I suppose it could come in handy if you’re on a boat, they tend to make ample use of ropes.

            Due to compression and stretch over time, often used sheathed ropes, like the one in your photo, tend to lose their sheen and the tressed sheath lies flatter against the core (that’s a good thing for a Shibari tyer, right?). But, it could just be down to a trick of the light or focus or resolution of the image. I didn’t mean anything else by it, and apologize if I came across as critical in any way.

              Oh, it’s alright :) I bought these one especially because they were smooth enough for a beginner (since I mostly am not using them by myself). I believe it’s a mix between light and soft rope

      For me, probably one of the underappreciated elements of shibari is the time it takes to do things properly, but maybe I’m just fussy or a perfectionist. I can always find something to criticize, in the ties I have created. That and a shit ton of rope of various lengths !
