Here’s where I’m coming from…

AOC is doing great. His numbers are right there with the top of the league after three starts. He’s new and will need time to develop, of course…. but he showed he can hang with a top three defense.

Benefits here, he’s cheap. We have a great rookie contract to spend cap money elsewhere to build up the team around him. Bolster the OLine, pump up the defense, this is the way.

Y’all are too high on AOC. He’s a better option than Jimmy G, that’s all he is (for now). Even then, I’d go as far as saying that the only reason he’s a better option than Jimmy G is because he has a more versatile arm and can actually throw downfield.

Let the kid finish out the season and we’ll see where assess his performance then. I haven’t seen anything special or promising from AOC. He definitely deserves a chance to finish out the season and prove me wrong and I hope he does. But based on what we’ve seen so far, there’s no way we’re getting anything done with him as the QB

I’m not sold on AOC as the franchise QB but even if he’s not I think he’ll make a great backup. Can’t say what he is at this point with his limited amount of play but he doesn’t jump off the screen. If somehow one of the top prospects fall or the Raiders can find a decent deal to move up they should draft another QB in the upcoming class and let a QB competition happen. If they both turn out looking great you can trade one.

In 3 starts, he has 600 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs. He’s benefiting a lot from a rejuvenated run game.

He’s been serviceable, I don’t see where he’s been “great”.

Yeah real head scratcher saying AOC is up there with top of the league talent. He’s barely getting 200 yards a game, struggled in the red zone… and if we are down even one touchdown in the 4th… i wouldn’t be too confident in a game winning drive from him. Its still too early to tell, but he is far from top of the league so far, and more of a game manager rn

As much as we understand this is a 10 week job application process for AP, Bo, and even Patrick Graham. It’s the same for AOC. They’re all passing the grade after two weeks. Let’s keep reviewing every week.

Now let’s throw logic out the window, in my opinion you’re correct lol. He gives me Brady potential vibes with a slightly better set of wheels.

I admit I’m intrigued, and he has the rest of the season to prove it, so let’s see what’s he’s got.

I wouldn’t say bad when relative to draft position and being a rookie but I still say we draft a guy and may the best guy win in next years camp.

I think he’s been great relative to his draft position, but not necessarily great on an absolute scale. But it’s too early to say he will or won’t get there. He’s had 3 games as a starter. Lots of room for growth. He also has one of the best set of surrounding players in the league in Adams, Meyers, Mayer, and Jacobs, so we’ll get a clear look at what he’s able to do

He gives us the best chance to win now, and he’ll improve but I haven’t seen anything yet to say he’s our franchise qb

They have the rest of the year to figure this out. He and the OC are tight, and AP has a good plan to pound the run and quick hit pass routes to allow the game to slow down for AOC. I like him a lot. His accuracy is a strength. Quicker reads, decisions, and ball control need to be an emphasis.
