I was horrified by the cow urine disinfecting scene at TJ’s house…Then, I did some research and was surprised to find out cow urine has a lot of antiseptic properties. There are legit NIH studies on the topic. Apparently cow urine has been used for centuries to disinfect, and it has Ayurvedic healing properties. Not saying I’m going to use it, but…educated.
It’s still gross and doesn’t smell good
All I could think of was no wonder Kim was never allowed in the kitchen before
Nah, still not cleaning my wok with Elsie’s piss
Interesting…but still a big nope.
Holy shit. She’s been eating cow shit the whole time.
Wait… is that where the term holy shit came from?!?
You must work in Medicine because I do and I understand your post.
I’m curious how they procure a giant bottle of cow piss
theres cow urine factories. This kind of stuff has gotten increasingly popular since the Hindu nationalist party got elected and promoting hindu traditions like this. Some politicians even said drinking it would keep covid away.
Not all of India is Hindu though and its mainly them who buy from cow urine factories and cow dung factories
I think respect needs to go both ways in that house. Some compromises. Kim was fine with most of their traditions… except the disgusting, outdated ritual of flinging cow urine on doors.
Premarin is made from the urine of pregnant horses. But like you don’t just get a filthy bottle straight from the cow like he had. That’s a great way to get all kinds of bacterial infections. Sprinkling a bit by the door ain’t gonna disinfect your house. Can we send some Pine Sol. There are people over there who drink it. If it cured all these illnesses you would expect they would live longer.
Note, some regions in India apparently do use cow waste for a million reasons. I’m all for cultural differences - it’s essential, but some reports are linking the burning and general lack of hygiene when using it (fuel, manure, etc) to their black fungus epidemic.
There was also a wave of rumors that bathing in either kind of the waste would cure and prevent COVID.
Just a reminder that papers stored on the NIH website don’t necessarily reflect their views.
I’m with Kim and with the cow shit in the house.
As much as I hate Kim, I’m on her side here. I understand India’s obsession with cows, but this is disgusting.
How did she live in that house for an entire year and only see this for the first time, is my question?
They said last episode that she was not allowed in the kitchen until marriage but still if they do this regularly you’d think she would sniff and say,”What’s that shit?”
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Or see it smoking?
They burn incense regularly.
You might not distinguish between the reek coming from the kitchen and the reek that’s just generally…present. It smells that bad outside, too. And dried cow patties don’t smell as bad as you think they would.
They likely haven’t done it before. My guess is that they did this (once and done) for the first time the kitchen was used after marriage.
Was it a year? I know she lived in India for a year in an apartment before this trip but I thought she had only lived in the house for a few weeks.
I heard differently?
I heard they broke up. Rightfully so. She wanted no part of living an Indian life, and I can’t blame her.
As an American woman living in Canada, whoch has many different cultures with in it, there are many cultures where women are treated as lesser than that I would hard pass on.
I dont even wanna drive through the Indian section of most towns because of the smell, let alone go to India. It’s just a pretty disgusting country if we are being honest. Very dirty and lots of pollution. I’m not sure why she wants to live there.
Wow! There are places in India that are stunningly beautiful!
