Below is a link to a tankless instant hot water heater a customer wants me to provide power to. They are getting the 110V gold option (4500W).

The first thing it says in the specs is “This product must be connected with an air circuit-breaker, not a plug-in socket.”

Can someone familiarize me with this installation requirement? Can it just be hard wired?
