Hello, I just bought my very first watch, the Citizen Promaster CB5850-80E from Europe online (since it’s only sold there.) I haven’t receive the watch yet and I find the watch to be extremely attractive, but I’m starting to second guess myself as to just how useful the watch side ruler will be for my practical use. I plan to buy just one watch and wear it everyday and it has the things I was looking for: titanum, sapphire glass, radio controlled, eco-drive, wr200. Some of the only drawbacks about the watch for me is how big it is for my (almost) 7in wrist. Since you all are watch lovers, what are some advice you can give me on this situation?
Generally, the slide rule is not that useful, except where you want to do regular calculations of the same multiplication. I have a similar citizen watch, and it was really useful for currency calculations while travelling. So, I’m based in UK, and I used to travel to Europe a lot. I’d set the slide rule to the exchange rate, and then I could very quickly understand prices of things.
