And they got 750 million in “sponsor money”
Just businessmen doing business. Nothing odd to see here at all.
10% margin is not bad.
Most supermarkets hit 3% margin. Amazon hit 1% margin.
I still think the primary intent of these fuel states when they buy clubs is actually to just make money and diversify their assets a bit, the sportswashing thing is really overblown in my opinion.
If cleaning their image was all they cared about they’d be buying the biggest clubs in the world and not buying ‘cheap’ clubs like Man City and Newcastle and turning them into profitable machines (too early to say with Newcastle but that’s the route they’re heading at the moment)
They do not care about their image lmao they have outright said that they don’t and it’s a business and hobby interest.
It’s an asset to them not some sort of imaginary vehicle for a perception they’ve said is meaningless to them.
Yup seems obvious to me but I’m sitting here on like -100 for giving my opinion and reasoning, pretty funny
Their main intent was to get in on the property market in the UK. They used their purchase of Man City as an in to start buying up loads of land in Manchester on the cheap to develop. It’s also why Neville is such a big fan of them, because they fund some of his projects.
In 5 to 10 years you’ll see Newcastle have loads of new buildings built by the Saudi’s.
Lol… As if 80 million profit is going to diversify a multi billion oil based economy.
How much did they pay you for this viewpoint?
technically they’re also investing this profit back into the club by using it for their lawyers’ retainers
🤮
Made all that turnover but only £80m profit.
For a football club that’s amazing
That’s a good amount of profit for a football club. It’s about double what Bayern made in the same timeframe
Hmmmmm. Interesting comparison with Bayern. Nothing to see here folks, move along!
I think you need to have a look at Bayern’s sponsors and who owns half the club 🤦♂️
They had to pay a lot in bonuses for all the titles they won
Plus all the people they’ve paid off.
Oh shut up you little weasel
Mate, double digit % net margin is bloody good, no matter what industry you’re in.
Weekly City hate thread, everybody get in here
FFPEEEEEEEE
So if I move £100m from one pocket to another, am I £100m richer?
Nice to see they are saving up the pennies to pay the 100 plus worth of FFP fines when they eventually get enforced in 2032….
I hope they don’t fine you and just stack it all in point deductions spread out over a decade just like this run was. It’ll will be an incredibly sad day if City can just pay their way out like nothing happened with 150+ breaches to their name.
They have money to buy all of FFP committee members for the next 10 days
I assume the government would get involved at that point.
And still nothing will come from it lmao
Have you seen our government recently??
Government is the only place where bribery is called lobbying to become legal
If they could prove the breaches had occurred they’d have done something by now
Everyone preaches this 115 charges as though they’ve been proven and everyone talks about it like they have first hand knowledge lmao.
Good luck. They have the resources to hide it and get away with it forever.
They don’t have any evidence lol, you don’t hear anything about the charges from the Prem nowadays.
The media is complicit in this absolute bullshit.
Absolutely.
Everyone should be ashamed of endorsing anything from them. Chop chop square, treat women lesser than men, super homophobic and let’s not forget about the modern slavery that happens there causing deaths for things that could easily be avoided.
When promoting genocide isn’t below them then what can you expect?
115 counts
Absolutely laughable . Seriously though, for the sake of the league , City need to be punished for what they’ve done . Severely
Say that without crying 😂
List out what we’ve done.
You know well what City have done
I really didn’t and neither do you. But I was talking about the charges.
search man city 115 for more information
Rags to riches story for the ages. Truly inspirational 🙏
The gold standards of running a football club with great success and competitiveness. Pure All or Nothing vibes
From 3rd division of English football to here. Truly a great story.
The cheek of it, it’s honestly pathetic on the premier leagues part letting them get away with it.
I’m out of the loop, haven’t kept up with city since mufc is having a shit season, what did city do?
They are trying lol, they slapped 115 charges on City
Like your parents buying you a Ferrari, selling it a week later and calling yourself an entrapreneur.
Let’s say this profit is legit, and to be fair I do think it is, it will all still be scandalous because, if proven, they cheated to get any success they now have. They purchased a multitude of players in the run up to their consistency. So I don’t listen to any claims about their spending in the 2 or 3 years because the suspected cheating happened all the years prior. I’ll wait for the final verdict but until then it’s all asterix for me. Before anyone freaks out this is only my opinion.
