I’m up to around 40 at this point. I just love watches whether it’s $20 or $20,000. I don’t have anything over $1000 but eventually right. I’ve learned all the basic maintenance from crystal replacement, batteries, bands, etc. Its an addicting hobby. I scour marketplace and online for rare finds and good deals. I’m looking for recommendations for a quality high capacity box. This $20 box is garbage.
1… a one and done kinda guy.
Though i like lurking here and watches just to see other watches.
I need to know which watch it is lol
Always wore watches.
- As a child a simple childs watch to learn to read the clock- maybe mickey mouse watch or something
- Then I got a Casio G-Shock in Orange - I fell in love
- For my 18th birthday I got a minimal silver and superflat Skagen with a Milanese band - loved it but wrecked it
- During my times as a student I wore a Casio see image
- Now I got a Samsung Smartwatch and a Citizen Ecodrive Promaster Montbell - the latter I wear daily
Cheers!

Garmin fenix sports watch Omega speedmaster hesalite
6 and plan to keep it there. Anymore seems excessive
4 working watches and a broken one from my grandpa who passed away in 1981.
Quality over quantity
I just got back into the hobby earlier this year. I’m not sure if I should be proud or ashamed to admit this, but I’m already up to about 36 in my collection.
Be proud. 6 months ago I only had a handful
Seven right now, but I went a little nuts on AliEx 11.11 and ordered 7-10 more. I’m focusing on extremely cheap versions of various styles to figure out what I like wearing before I dive into better quality pieces.
No box yet, but I’m toying with the idea of building a pedestal and trees to display my collection instead of the traditional box.
I think I’m at around 60-65.
Hi I’m 50. Slowly growing to your level
👊🏻👊🏻
Damn, leave some for the rest of us
My man has it’s own watch museum 😂
After about 3 years too, I went from 20ish in year 1 to 6 right now, including 1 inherited, 1 custom built, 1 modded gshock and 3 that I rotate. The more I get into this hobby, the more I think a small collection is better.
Quality over quantity my friend
Gun to my head, I couldn’t tell you an exact figure. I usually lowball it a bit in case someone calls me on it. I’m comfortable saying it’s ‘around 150’.
Most of those are affordable watches and a sizeable chunk are Casio’s. But there’s a few expensive pieces as well. I like a bit of variety.
I got 11… I only started collecting a year ago… I haven’t got a box like yours, though. I don’t know what I would do with the original boxes they came with.
After 3 years collecting I have 12 in the box that get regular wrist time as well as 5 that are occasional wear pieces or are waiting to be repaired. I am like you and have watches that I paid between 100 and 500 for but I like them all and many have a special significance.
Someone got bit by watch gang.
After having anywhere from 30-40, down to 5 now. And done for a long bit.
