It’s a cool feature to add audio and video calls but spam bots are already a problem on Twitter and now they’ve got a new toy to play with to prey on users with.

Twitter would have to introduce new measures to prevent this by requiring additional information from users to use them or some other automated option like AI detection. Time will tell of course.
