Of course he would like to implement free flowing attacking football, an Ajax type philosophy but has had to make sacrifices for the good of the team. Knows the players aren’t good enough to play that kind of football, so Ten Hag is obviously making the right decision to abandon some of his principles to grind out results for the clubs benefit. Lots of injuries of course haven’t helped him either but does what he can with what he’s got. Right now United are only 5 points off top 4 and 7 points away from 1st place.

In contrast look at a team like Burnley that try’s to play full on attacking football every week but doesn’t produce the results and sit bottom of the league table. A great manager uses the tools efficiently at his disposal and does what’s right to get the results.

It comes down to the man in the dugout…he’s in charge of IN/OUTS! He picks the team …he boarded the ferry, he signed the contract…I say let him crash and burn 🔥

“With what he’s got”?? He’s spent over £400m across 3 transfer windows and a good percent of them are looking like duds.

Every United fan I know told me you needed defensive reinforcements last summer but he brought in Mount and Amrabat instead.

Abandoning your principles just to get results in mid table mentality at best. United are supposed to be one of the biggest clubs in the world and you’re comparing them to Burnley?! Burnley’s whole squad probably cost less than Hojlund, Antony and Mount.

He deserves to be credited with how poorly United have been. Agreed. I give him all the credit in the world for that. It is his fault, after all.

Results based he’s doing well but if you actually look at how they’re playing they are increasingly lucky to be where they are.
