He had huge red flags in terms of injuries (missing the end of 2018 and now will likely miss the rest of this season), and is making Jamarcus Russell’s deal look like a bargain.

Cincinnati could have been a SB contender with a decent QB and instead they gave their fans a 275m quarterback who can’t stay healthy.

This is what the kids called cringe like a decade ago. I’m too old to know what the new word is.

Burrow has done what Deshaun will never do: Go to a Superbowl and back to back AFC Championship games.

It’s not the contract that was the misstep for the Bengals, it’s what they did around Burrow. We flopped on properly drafting and developing offensive line talent, Taylor and Callahan have overrated offensive scheme and bad playcalling, and relying purely on the draft for defense the past 2 seasons is finally biting us. The NFL is so QB dependent you can’t fault spending what we spent on the guy, but you can fault not doing the best you can to properly build around him.

I would take Burrows contract on my team right now, even if he misses all year and part of next year.

I wouldn’t take the rapists contract on my team even if it was half as much as it is. No contest.
