Mine was probably the KFC in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan (the closest city to Mohenjodaro).

Most of Dubai seems like someone had an idea and they just rolled with it rather than do some research (or maybe it was just franchising fees/licenses). I imagine the conversation went like…

“Hey, what do people in America eat?”

“I was there on a business trip and remember seeing commercials for things called ‘Red Lobster’ and ‘Ponderosa’. Perhaps we should put together a research grou–”

“Nah, build six of them and we’ll see what happens.”

Love that for them. May Cheddar Biscuits and Pondo Combos never die.

I am Indian and had pork ribs at a Chilli’s in Noida which is near Delhi and I really liked it. One of the few places here I found pork ribs and barbecue related stuff.

Peru has an unspeakable number of Chilis and they were always full. There were probably 4 of them within a 15 minute walk of my hotel in Lima. They’re EVERYWHERE. Absolutely did not understand.

Was told I had to try McDs in Japan. Got a big mac, fries, coke. Exactly the same as the states. Pretty impressive how tight they have their supply chain to make the same trash worldwide, but I’m not doing it again.

Pizza Hut Giza, Egypt across street from pyramids and sphinx. I went there with a co worker who is Egyptian thinking he’d take me to some “authentic” spots and we ate there three times. He said you don’t want to eat that other stuff.

Karachi, Pakistan and Jedda, KSA. I’m oddly only a fan of overseas McDonald’s and never eat it in the US

    Mcdonalds in Fiji.

Not a big deal for me personally as my parents have a place close to one of their franchises.

After traveling for almost 2 days with a minivan towards the western Sahara we came across very small house completely covered in a Coca Cola mural. I found it really funny seeing that after feeling like we left “western civilization” behind us a many hours ago.
