I think Ronaldo’s the only European player in Saudi Arabia who’s taking the job seriously. Man does not see it as a retirement league.

But if Saudi league counts for this prize, shouldn’t Jack Johnson from seventh league be in this list as well? He’s a total baller though!

He’s still playing for Portugal. That might help with the motivation…

Ronaldo is the type of person that won’t let even his kids win a game vs him, you can say a lot of things about him but that he isn’t competitive it’s not one of them.

But it is a retirement league? And your rhetoric suggests you understand as much.

He’s scoring goals, but his accomplishments are on a small scale compared to the other strikers listed.

That’s because he’s hoping to fool everyone into thinking like him.

Which is crazy if you think about it. The man has seen it all and done it all.

He has no reason to push himself this hard, he’s 38, doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone.

I get the love of the game argument, it’s his job and everything but still.

I think to be at the top of your sport for so long and maintain that level of dedication you have to be a bit nuts. I’ve always been a hater of his attitude on the pitch but I can’t help respect his career and his work ethic, it is absolutely amazing.
