Not reading that but as a coach who has won 6 games in 1.5 seasons it’s pretty hard to defend anything he’s done. And that’s before the random staff firings. His team looked woefully unprepared in September and they haven’t won a division game since 2021.

But this is the Bears and they do everything backwards. This next offseason they have a chance to reset the coach and qb and they might not do that, foolishly.

Bears ownership is dysfunctional but Eberflus hasn’t shown he is anything more than a defensive coordinator.

Even his abilities as a DC are mediocre. I genuinely don’t know what compelled Chicago to put him in charge of the rebuild.

The threat to journalism especially sports journalism isn’t people fabricating halftime sideline reports but AI writing bad articles and a good majority of people unable to tell the difference.

“The losing that the Chicago Bears have had goes beyond the Matt Eberflus”

That’s the sub headline. I didn’t even get to the actual article before realizing it was AI trash and closing it.

The coaching isn’t good, but the roster is also terrible. Last year was a complete tear down, so it makes sense that the Bears lost a ton. Yet, Enerflus and Getsy still look lost.

It’s no exclusively his fault, but he is currently the biggest, and most pressing issue. Ownership is terrible, but that rarely can get fixed until someone sells, or unfortunately passes. Bears will be stuck in this limbo for awhile.

I agree and disagree. It IS the owners who’ve just been awful, absolutely awful. But it’s also Flus, because it’s his job to pick up pieces and use them to win, and he’s not done that.

You can’t blame him in the same way you can’t blame Trubisky for being picked 2nd overall in 2017. The Bears keep putting the wrong person in franchise critical spots.
