Absolutely. Garrett is a fucking monster this year and absolutely the biggest part of the reason the Browns are winning games. I didn’t get to see many browns games and was wondering why they were winning with how shit Watson played and then I looked at his numbers and the overall defensive numbers and it all made sense.

The Browns defense is historically good this year. So far they have allowed opponents to gain 125 first downs. The next closest defense is Dallas at 163.

They are this good with horrible QB play. Our RT and LT out. Our star RB out. It’s crazy how much they’re carrying us and Garrett is the cornerstone.

Just make a fucking separate QB award. Seriously. QB play this season should not even be considered for the MVP. Not a single guy has carried or even been consistent. Jalen and Purdy both have the most stacked teams around them and are in the conversation??

Josh Allen has 5 more TDs and 3 more turnovers. His odds aren’t even close though because his team is broken.

He may be the best player on the best team, but this would be an unusually weak pick. Even among QBs, he’s only 10th in passer rating, 6th in QBR, and doesn’t have an edge with volume. Stats obviously aren’t everything but pretty much every MVP in history has had a reasonable stats-based argument for why they’re the best.

Huge Eagles fan and I love Hurts. I think he wins a Super Bowl ( or 10) with the Birds. But, this is nuts. Since this is basically a QB award, I guess it eliminates guys like Hill, Lamb and AJ. Purdy and Prescott are much more worthy candidates as of today. Still a lot of season left but sorry, Jalen. Go Birds!!

Hurts didn’t even play amazing last night? They’re essentially saying the award is going to go to the QB with the best record.

Of all years as well considering no QB has had a stand out great year that at least makes it hard to fully argue against.

I also hate this cause obviously people will swing the opposite way and discredit Hurts because of how ridiculous the claim that he’s MVP is.

Hurts hasn’t been playing bad, among QBs I think he’d be my second or third guy this year. His performance against the Chiefs also wasn’t *bad* it was just meh. But he’s going to get a lot of negativity his way cause of this kind of ridiculous line.

I really hope either one QB really steps it up these last weeks and wins justifiably, or another non-QB player gets it, cause even if my guy gets a cool trophy, the precedent set is so awful.

I would love Purdy to get it but if we wanna be real? If QBs have to win, and CJ Stroud continues to play pretty well overall, he deserves it.

Otherwise I’d give it to Garrett or CMC. Maybe Garett edges him out because CMC missed a TD on the Jags game that broke the streak.

Nah Hurts is not an MVP, as much as I wish he was. I like him a lot and am glad to have him as our qb, but when it comes to sheer and raw talent nobody beats Mahomes. He just looks worse because of his WR’s.
