What aspects of the authors’ previous works captivated your enjoyment? Personally, my three chosen authors are Nicholas Sparks, as we all crave romance in our lives; Rick Riordan, whose books rekindle the youthful enthusiasm within me; and lastly, Fredrik Backman, whom I consider the finest realistic fiction author.

    Haruki Murakami

    Svend Åge Madsen

All of them for their beautiful writing styles. Topics I found interesting. Inspiration for my own writing.

For me it would be Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie and Erich Kästner (the movie „The Parent Trap“ is an adaptation of his book „Das doppelte Lottchen“. All his children’s books are gold. The adult ones reflect on the not-so-nice parts of life. So they can drag you down a little)

Issac Asimov - I’d never get bored and I’m not even sure if I could read his entire catalog

    Ray Bradbury

    Stephen King

JRR Tolkien, Arthur C Clarke, and the third could be just about any of a couple of dozen, but we’ll say Isaac Asimov.

I already reread Tolkien Silmarillion through LotR once a year and have for more than 20 years. I’ve read all of Clarke on 3-4 occasions, and several of his books more than that. Asimov would be more of a palate cleanser, and would probably focus more on his later output. I’ve read Nemesis quite a few times, and I really enjoy his Foundation prequels a lot.

I think a solid trio would be Erin Morgenstern, Tamsyn Muir, and Becky Chambers. I think I could be happy for the rest of my life reading about the worlds these people create. Erin Morgenstern speaks to my soul, Tamsyn Muir wrecks my soul, and Becky Chambers heals it.

    Ray Bradbury

    Isaac Asimov

    Jane Austen

And I would have to include a fourth one - Agatha Christie - three is just not enough.

Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe.

I know it’s kind of an eclectic mix but I could be very happy with just those three authors. That way I get my whimsical fantasy, my romantic comedy, my creepy tales and even some poetry.
