How do mobile gpus like snapdragons 8 gen 3 iGPU and the likes?

If those phone GPUs are compared to apples M1/M2, how do they do against intel and Amd now?

Would be interesting in real scenarios and with different API like Vulkan and compared to power usage.

And it would be interesting to see if it can actually run games.

There are 4 different scores for the same iGPU. I would assume that the highest score is using a configuration with very high TDP

so it’s got potential is what the synthetics show, but held back by drivers, I bet once the gaming benches drop.

So the iGPU race has begun.
Consumers will rejoice, no more low performance cards.

I think what’s most exciting, even if MTL only ends up matching, or being slightly behind 780M, is that this performance tier will be available on most laptops. I won’t have to do research to find which few models have the 780M and base my decision off that. I can pick a make/model and be assured that the iGPU is good enough that my games will at least run. I don’t need 1440P 100fps high. I just want to know that if I take a business trip, my thin and light can at least run some games when I’m in the hotel.

I agree, as someone who plays 10 year old games that just don’t run on intelHD graphics I can’t wait to play at decent settings at 60fps.

That’s nice, but at what power draw?

Also, one is likely to run older games on an iGPU but Alchemist is famously struggling in directx <=9.
