Doesn’t work at all. I just spent an hour trying to make 545.29.06 work after finally getting to desktop I fire up cs2 and https://i.imgur.com/byvOMI3.jpg there is big black box flickering and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get it fixed.
That’s not all. I then tried to roll back to 535.113.01 and spent another hour trying to get to back to desktop. Encountered this error:
NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 535.113.01, but
NVRM: this kernel module has the version 545.29.06. Please NVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver NVRM: components have the same version.
Tried to fix it but gave up after an hour. Luckily older kernel worked. Fucking NVIDIA for real. I’m going AMD as soon as I can afford AMD 7800XT from next pay check.
And no mention of resolving the issue whereby your desktop renders at ~35fps…
Sure it launches but its still unplayable on Wayland because of the frames rendering in wrong order.
Nvidia is great at adding bugs to fix bugs. Now for the last couple of versions of driver updates the audio through HDMI pops my speakers when rebooting. A minor annoyance, but just an example. It’s always something.
When will 545 come to fedora 39 software app? :((
