The normal Hottest 100 usually flows with the new releases of the last year or so, this one is specifically for Australian songs. They’ve done similar things in previous years, I think they had a Hottest 100 of all time a couple of years ago.
Is it strange young people would use Apple music, spotify and YouTube music over radio? I’m in my late 30s and listened to radio until last year and I was definitely in the minority even at my age.

Meh, they do, but they also have to do crowd favourites.
In the last few weeks i’ve found out about Don West, and Gerrans from Triple j Unearthed both of them are very active now. I shared them both on c/rage if you want to listen to someone new.
