I love psychedelic rock like Pink Floyd but I’m curious if I can make it sound better?
An effects processor with some reverb, flanger, and phaser.
This is the way. There are some vintage processors that have all kinds of spatial effects. Not to my liking, but I think that’s what the OP is looking for.

I have a sansui reverb unit kind of a gimmick but its still fun to use. You can probably pick up a similar one for $100-$200

Proper placement is the best thing you can do to make psychedelic music holographic. It’s also the cheapest upgrade you can make. Look into it – it’s totally worth it.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Pink Floyd referred to as psychedelic rock. Jimi Hendrix, yes, Pink Floyd, not so much.
If you Google Pink Floyd the first result is a snippet of their Wikipedia article that says they are psychedelic and rock lol…

get a sansui “acoustic expander” and big ol speakers.
- use the best source you can, whether it is analog based (turntable/arm/cartridge) or digital, invest in a really good DAC
- get a really good amplifier, preamp and power amp, not some cheap AV receiver - Ill cop flak for that, but there is no way an AV receiver can compare to a high end preamp, Krell, ARC, Klyne, ML.
- Get bigger and better speakers, small bookshelf size even with a sub can only do so much.
- set your speakers up properly, not 1m apart, not in a corner, not facing different directions.
- turn the lights off and enjoy
