Does anyone have any advice? I am 3+ hours away from the closest Apple Store and would like to avoid sending it in and being without a phone for 5+ days if possible. Pretty disappointing as I mainly bought this phone for the camera

I had a patch appear on my 14 Pro lens when it was new. Genius Bar identified it as a hardware issue, repaired it within 2 hours. Amazing work.

This is unfortunately pretty common. If you shine a flashlight into the camera lenses more often than not you’ll probably find some dust underneath them. That one is more apparent though.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro. Mine has a few bits of dust underneath two lenses but it doesn’t effect my photos.

They swap it out with another one, chances are it might have it too. Maybe just not show quite as bad. They are mass produced devices, and dust is everywhere. It doesn’t matter if it’s super duper IP 6000 resistant, dust is all over and it WILL get in there eventually. Just look at the back of your camera modules and see how much dust they collect for example. There’s no way few specks aren’t making it in.

I stopped letting it bother me. If it starts affecting my photos then I’ll reach out to Apple.

Annoying, but that’s all it is, annoying. It’ll never be picked up by the camera in any capacity. I have many high end lenses with this and the only it effects is my OCD.

I have the exact same issue!!! Brand new 15 Pro Max. Contacted apple support. They said that if it doesn’t affect photo quality they can’t do anything. I also think that a 1200$ should be spotless…

I’ve had this issue a couple times in the past and they always replaced it. I also waited till right before the year warranty was up one time because it didn’t affect the pictures and got a new phone a year into usage.
