Gonna vanish somewhere for a while. Looking for a fun city in Spain, Italy or Greece primarily. Can be a smaller place too if the vibe is good, but not looking for party-islands, as I still prefer an actual city with real people.
I’m in my early 30s, male. I’ve never prioritized fun in my travels before.
Valencia or Mallorca!
How would you compare the two? I just arrived in Valencia for the foreseeable future, and I’m wondering whether Mallorca is worth the time (and if so, how much time). I’m generally not a fan of living on an island, especially one that is notorious for partying and tourists… But I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing about Mallorca?
Hmm, I speak fluent Spanish so don’t frequent the tourist enclaves of Mallorca! There are parts undoubtedly aimed at tourists (aka the city centre) but that isn’t the whole island. Find something interesting to do to meet locals (badminton club, art class, cooking thing). They will show you the Mallorca of their childhood. Admittedly, I may be bias as I had a bit of a summer fling in Mallorca which could be clouding my view of the place. It’s only a 30 minute plane ride away anyway, go check it out and see for yourself. :)
Come in Turin, north Italy!
It’s near Milan, pretty cheap for standard, and it offers many fun option as club, music events, fair
I just arrived to Turin today. Any suggestions?

Sorry I’ve seen late!
I suggest you to get lost in Valentino park and get inspired by people around. In that area (avoid pushers) there are friendly people u can just chat with. There is one of my favorite place on earth, Imbarchino Valentino.
I love Bunker too for night events -it’s 5km from center– and Vanchiglietta for happy hour.
Get the cappuccino and croissant from the Egyptian museum cafe!
Title says Mediterranean and I’m seeing Lisbon pop up multiple times, even seen Bilbao and San Sebastián. Ffs look at a map.
OP specifically asked for Spain as well though.
Napoli!
Napoli is interesting but seems kinda risky? I mean vibe-like, it can be a bit hectic and harsh?
Risky for what do you mean? Like mafia? Lol
I didn’t find it hectic or harsh at all, quite the contrary. Chill, surprising amount of things to do, really nice people.
Genoa.
Genoa has been in radar actually. What did you like about it?
Bilboa or San Sebastian
Not Mediterranean
What is the size of your budget? (1k, 5k, 10k, 50k…)
How long would you stay?
Would you like to share your sexual orientation?
Which languages do you speak?
When would you go to this destination?
Genoa, Valencia, Barcelona, Lisbon, Tripoli in that order.
I did enjoy a lot of my fall/winter doing Berlin & Prague, but if just broke up, melancholy can hit you hard.
Can you expand on why Genoa? I was there only for a few days and found it a beautiful place, but it seemed quite dead from a young people perspective
Barcelona
Eh, given the circumstances, it could be anywhere in the world, right?
Tripoli
Maybe Lisbon could be worth a shot for you
Nooo, definitely not.
Lisbon is absolutely wonderful, but in my opinion, it is best enjoyed when you are comfortable and confident in yourself, not when you are tender post-breakup.
As a guy in your 30’s who is single you will have way more fun in Barcelona than Lisbon. Greece and Italy I have no idea about but Barcelona is great.
Maybe not in the countries you asked for but the south of France is worth a look. Nice is a great, vibrant city with tons to do and lots of access to what you’d need if you’re working. Meanwhile you can do easy day or weekend trips to surrounding areas which are awesome. Eze, Cannes, Antibes, Villafrenche, Monaco, and more are all super close by.
Montpellier is a uni city. Many coming from other countries on Erasmus or doing their masters and are multilingual. It’s a fun town!
Visited Palermo as a tourist last year and I found it a very fun city with lots of young people.
